Cross Jason george - BRIEF BIO

Here's a little about my life ... I've been married to my beautiful wife Stephanie for over 27 years and we have three children: Autumn, Noah, and Gabrielle. We live in the beautiful Low Country of South Carolina with our crazy chocolate lab, Remi.

I grew up in a broken and abusive home. My mother died of cancer when I was five years old, and my father left when I was 12 years old. My older brother (Mark) became my legal guardian. I lived with him from the age of 12 to 18. Full of hurt, anger, confusion ... my life was quickly spiraling downward into harmful addictions.

Thankfully, God intervened before it was too late. Sitting in a chapel service during my junior year of high school, I heard the message of Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross in a way I'd never heard before! I deeply convicted over my sin, but also overwhelmed by God's unconditional love towards me. By the grace of God, I began the process of turning away from my old way of doing life and began following Jesus Christ as Lord. In Him, I found forgiveness, hope, and inner peace and strength.

For many years, my Youth Pastor took time to help me understand what it really means to be a Christ-follower and helped me work through my deepest wounds and struggles.

I graduated from Liberty University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with Concentrations in Biblical Studies and Youth Ministry. Throughout my college years, I served in Christian Camp Ministry. After graduating college, I served as a Youth Pastor for 15 years at churches in Maryland, New Jersey, and Missouri.

In 2010 God led me to walk away from a comfortable Youth Pastor position to launch Narrowtrail Ministries, where I served as an Itinerant Speaker and Mission Trip Planner/Leader for Youth Ministries.

In 2014 I began having increasing health problems. Finally, in 2017, we discovered the cause was Lyme Disease along with some other tick-born infections. My failing health forced me to take a break from Itinerant Speaking and leading Mission Trips for students. Forced to slow down and give attention to healing, I began developing a podcast to help Christian men on their journey with Christ (The GRIZ Podcast). I also began doing one-on-one coaching with Christian men who were struggling with various issues. That led to leading online support/accountability groups for Christian men who struggle with porn and other unwanted sexual behaviors (Climb Teams).

I am a Licensed and Ordained Minister of the Gospel (1999 - Forest Park Church - Waldorf, MD).

My favorite things in life are hanging with family and friends, reading, listening to 80s music, and being in the outdoors ... mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, etc.

Due to my on-going battle with Lyme Disease, I'm only available to do a limited number of itinerant speaking engagements.

I'd love to connect with you.

- Jason
